Arthur
Kith, Kin and Friend….
You look across this valley wide
A place, so fine, for me to rest
I hear the gentle rhythmic tide
Of breeze, amongst the tree
I see the sparkling, glistening dance
Of river flowing, water free
I taste the ever clean…… refreshing air
It fills my soul, such pleasure here.
I cloak the bud, with tender care
Now winter, he doth follow me
I lift the lark, up to the air
I show you all, my Spring is thee
I am the warmth that Summer gives
I pass it o’er to you
And thank the Lord that Autumn lives
With all its year grown fruits
I know, there holds a tear or two
Within your eyes before
But let them free, to comfort you
For I am burden free
I hold a place, so special now
It is ‘twixt, ‘ ‘tween you and me
For all I had, in you all
I now bequest to thee
As cherished memories, for to call
When ever you are down
For laughter too, the fun we had
Then pleasure, ne’er to frown
Now I bide a special world
You keep within your hearts
Before me……. all unfurled
Your sights,
Your sounds,
Your thoughts
Your love
Your hearts I’m bound to keep
Dave, you never did agree with my English! But now I have the last word.

Here you describe yourself as "burden free";
Maybe in comparison to his troubles you were...
Death is both sad & wonderful.
Sad that we won't have them around with us to share the everyday things & wonderful in that we can bring them to life with just our thoughts again.
It's good that he is out of the pain.
I can picture him saying to you the words you wrote to him..."But let them free to comfort you
For I am burden free"
& He truly is...

Malapropism is my fiend.
You certainly are a treasure for everybody who you know.

If I am not for myself, who will be? If I am not for others, what am 'I'? And if not now, when?
